From Billboard.com:

After a head-turning performance of Miranda Lambert’s “Over You” on the November 19 episode of NBC’s “The Voice,” contestant Cassadee Pope opens atop Country Digital Songs with 152,000 downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Concurrently the newcomer posts the Hot Shot Debut at No. 3 on Country Songs and also arrives at No. 25 on the Hot 100. Meanwhile Lambert’s original version re-enters Country Digital Songs at No. 7 with 40,000 sold — it previously peaked at No. 2 in March, and topped the Country Airplay chart dated May 19.

Honored earlier this month with the Song of the Year trophy at the CMA Awards, Lambert co-wrote the song with husband and “Voice” coach, Blake Shelton. A native of Florida, singer/songwriter Pope has also fronted pop/punk band Hey Monday, and released a self-titled solo EP in May which charted for one week in June on the Heatseekers tally (No. 25).

  1. I don’t know if it’s too soon to predict the winner but I think it could be Cassadee Pope. She’s been great this whole season and never seems to disappoint. I hope she takes the win on my favorite primetime show The Voice. It’s hard to catch all of the awesome shows and at the same time and it’s hard to record every channel too. I used to have that problem too trying to get all my primetime shows recorded until my coworker at DISH told me about the DISH Hopper DVR, and how I can use the PrimeTime Anytime feature to get my four major networks recorded nightly. I won’t tie up all the DVRs at home when I want to record my shows and everyone can still watch what they want. This has become one of my favorite features and it’s made things in my home simple.

Thoughts about it?
